The Great Pacific Garbage Dump and what it is doing to oceanic life

Scientists and environmentalists are deeply concerned by the vast areas of ocean in the Pacific littered with high density waste, killing, polluting and maiming any oceanic animals that happen to find themselves in the area. Turtles, sick and deformed from plastic rings, wrapped around them, their shells dangerously strangled through their middle. Check out this clip for more information on this topic.
PS We, humans, have caused the problem, now we had better darn well fix it! Please reuse, recycle or dispose of all your rubbish thoughtfully (in rubbish bins, not throw in the gutter, or along beaches!!!). How about some "clean up the oceans" campaigns?!
